It's a gift...not an 'award'. Therefore, it should be delivered...not retrieved. I'm with you...it's tacky, thoughtless and insincere to expect you to "come and get it"...not to mention...totally not the real issue. I think the response you're thinking of giving the next time she brings it up is more than appropriate.
